How to maintain and maintain your garden tools

When you buy new garden tools, you are more likely to choose low-price/low-quality or higher-price/high-quality tools.

Buy good quality garden tools to last longer, but only if they get regular maintenance and upkeep.

Maintenance is not a problem if you choose inexpensive tools, because when they wear out, you can just throw them away.

However, no matter the quality, regular maintenance of your garden tools will help ensure they are up to the next level of maintenance.

The following basic principles will make your gardening work more convenient and add more life to your gardening tools.

*Be sure to remove all soil from the digging tool after each use. Usually, the basic removal work is to rinse with water, and some corners that are not easy to wash off have to be removed with a screwdriver to remove mud or dry mud.

* Let them dry completely before storing, don't get garden tools wet, and apply linseed oil to wooden handles to protect them from rust and rot.

* After each use, wipe off the metal parts of the pruning shears, scissors, and trimmers with an oil-based rag. Alternatively, you can dry your tools with a clean rag and lightly spray them with clear oil,

* Thoroughly clean any tools used for chemicals. Fertilizers and other chemicals will quickly corrode any metal parts.

*To prevent additional rust, fill a 5-liter gallon bucket of mortar and pour a fresh batch of motor oil over it. Use it as a shovel cleaner/oiler every time you put your tools aside. Each tool enters and exits the oil sands several times after use.
